NEN Resource Centre

Dear Friends,

Following are the pictures of NEN Resource Centre in Chizami village, Phek district of Nagaland, which were taken during its inauguration on October 28, 2005. The then Honourable Governor of Nagaland Shri Shyamal Datta inaugurated the centre. Member, Planning Commission of India, Dr. Syeda Hameed was also present during the inaugural programme and delivered the keynote address.

NEN Resource centre was conceptualized with the idea of creating a hub for exchanging innovative ideas amongst the youth from the entire north east region. The centre will help build skills on various economic, socio-cultural and technical themes. We envisage this to bring about a global vision and practical interventions for the problems associated to lack of opportunities and information. It is a living laboratory where demonstration plots for various Natural Resource Management practices have been constructed. Various issues of social enhancement have also been initiated.

NEN Resource centre can also be utilized by different groups/organizations as a space for conducting various programmes and trainings.
